 Public   Purpose:
 The IDA, as authorized by Florida Statute 159.44 - 159.53, is responsible for financing   and refinancing projects for the public purposes described in, and in the manner provided by, the Florida Industrial Development Financing Act and by Florida Statute   159.44-159.
 Special   District   Charter:  

The Highlands County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) was created on February 5, 1980 by the Highlands County Board of County Commissioners.

 Finances /   Budget Info:  The IDA's fiscal year runs October 1 through September 30 of each year. In 2020-2021, the IDA collected no revenue and had no expenses.
